YOUTH INCLUSION & DEVELOPMENT (YID) Is a Registered Non- Profit Organization that operate in Tanzania Mainland. Its Head office located at Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, with about 70 kilometers from Kilimanjaro International Airport. YID was formed in 2016 and 2019 got its Registration and operates under the two Millennium development goals, one To Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger and two To Achieve universal primary education.
To provide support to Children, young men and women will ensure the wellbeing of the nation to make sure that dependence ratio in the country is reduced by combating the rapid growing unemployment rate in the country, YID intended to make sure every youth is productive in the country.
Developing Nations has experienced significant economic growth over the last decade. Although the poverty rate in a country like Tanzania has declined, the absolute number of poor has not because of the high population growth rate. As a result, children and youth still face many challenges including violence, exclusion, unemployment, poor education, and other basic services. However the rate of poverty in the country still affects the education system especially among the vulnerable families, vulnerable families are unable to provide school needs to their beloved children, Yet the youth from poor families are unable to reach their dreams because their families are unable to support them. Tertiary education in Tanzania require money, therefore youth from poor who accomplished secondary education and primary education with all necessary qualification to join tertiary education cannot join because they lack support from their families and even the society is not sensitized enough to provide support to those youth. In response to that YD was introduced to provide support to the children in school from vulnerable families first to meet their school needs and to support youth out of school to meet their dreams by giving support like entrepreneurship education and to contribute money to the youth with qualification to join tertiary education.
Our Operation Area
Youth Inclusion and Development has been operation for 3 years in Kilimanjaro Region, we have grown to humanitarian and development organizations in Tanzania, working in 3 Districts, Moshi Municipal, Moshi District and Same District, out 6 Districts in Kilimanjaro region. Now we see it’s a time for us to expand our service for Tanzania Mainland.
We seek to contribute to the measurable improvement in the sustained well-being and Empowerment of 5000 Youth Male and Female – especially the most vulnerable. We are dedicated to working with children, youth, and communities to overcome youth exclusion in Decision Making, unemployment, and injustice.
